Applied scenario practice
Scenarios Untimed Instant feedback
End of stage
These scenarios put a distributed system in front of you and ask what it costs. Splitting a service, choosing events over calls, separating a read model from its writes, drawing a bounded context, and deciding where a retry belongs are each right in some conditions and expensive in others. The question is rarely which pattern, it is which failure you are choosing to accept.

How this practice works
- 1Each question puts you inside a realistic situation and asks for the strongest course of action, the same shape of judgement the stage modules teach.
- 2Commit to an answer to see whether it holds, why the strongest option wins, and which module to revisit if it did not.
- 3Submit when every question is answered to see your result by topic area, with the domains worth another pass called out for you.
This practice is untimed and checks understanding of the stage you have just finished. When every stage is behind you, the exam preparation stage collects the whole course for revision, then drills both papers and runs the timed mocks.
