ArchiMate Service Realisation View

Trace one business service down to the process, role, application service and component that deliver it.

Service realisation viewpoint: tracing a service to what delivers it

The Service realisation viewpoint shows how a business service is realised by a business process, who is assigned to that process, and which application service and component sit beneath it.

Service realisation viewpoint: tracing a service to what delivers it A Service realisation viewpoint, derived from the ArchiMate 3.2 Specification by The Open Group. At the top, the New connection service serves a connection customer. In the middle tier, the business process Deliver a new connection realises the service, with the Connections team assigned to it. In the bottom tier, the Connection workflow application service serves the process, and the Connection management system application component realises that application service. Read it top to bottom: the customer sees one service, the process realises it, and the application layer serves the process. The worked example traces London Grid Distribution's new connection service down to the system that runs it.
