The ArchiMate 3.2 layered viewpoint for a distribution network operator, drawn as three layer bands read bottom to top by a left axis rail labelled realises then serves. A connections customer is served by two business services, realised by processes for assessing capacity, designing the solution and publishing network data. Application services serve those processes, realised by the connections portal, the GIS and the LTDS publication system, tinted in the accent as the worked example. Technology services serve the components, realised by a Kubernetes platform and a PostgreSQL cluster. The rule: structure realises its layer services, then those serve the layer above.
