Course Terms of Use and Intellectual Property Policy

Important Legal Notice

By accessing, purchasing, or using any course materials, practice assessments, or examinations provided through this platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use. Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.

1. Intellectual Property Rights

All course content, including but not limited to written materials, video content, audio recordings, graphics, diagrams, code examples, practice questions, assessment questions, answer explanations, examination materials, certificates, and any other educational resources (collectively, the "Course Materials") are the exclusive intellectual property of Ransford Amponsah and Ransford's Notes, protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws of the United Kingdom and international treaties.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Course Materials solely for your personal educational purposes, subject to the restrictions set forth herein.

2. Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree that you shall NOT, under any circumstances:

2.1 Reproduction and Copying

  • Copy, reproduce, duplicate, or create derivative works of any Course Materials, in whole or in part, in any format or medium, whether digital, printed, or otherwise.
  • Use screen recording software, screen capture tools, video recording devices, or any other technological means to capture, record, or reproduce any Course Materials.
  • Photograph, screenshot, or otherwise visually capture any Course Materials, including but not limited to assessment questions, answers, or explanations.
  • Download, save, cache, or store Course Materials beyond what is technically necessary for immediate viewing during an authorised session.

2.2 Distribution and Sharing

  • Share, distribute, transmit, publish, post, upload, or disseminate any Course Materials to any third party, whether for commercial purposes or otherwise.
  • Post, share, or disclose assessment questions, practice questions, examination content, or answers on any website, forum, social media platform, messaging application, or any other online or offline medium.
  • Allow any other person to access your account or view Course Materials using your credentials.
  • Sell, licence, sublicence, rent, lease, or commercially exploit any Course Materials.

2.3 Technical Circumvention

  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features, access controls, or copy protection mechanisms implemented to protect the Course Materials.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technologies to access or extract Course Materials.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software or technical measures protecting the Course Materials.

3. Limited Exception for Technical Support

The sole exception to the prohibition on screen captures is when you experience a technical issue that requires visual documentation for support purposes. In such cases:

  • You may capture a screenshot solely for the purpose of reporting the technical issue directly to us at ransford.amponsah@ransfordsnotes.com.
  • Any such capture must be transmitted directly to us and must be permanently deleted immediately after transmission.
  • You must not retain any copies, and the capture must not include any assessment questions, answers, or other substantive Course Materials unless strictly necessary to illustrate the technical issue.
  • This exception does not permit any other form of reproduction or sharing.

4. Express Written Permission

Any use of Course Materials beyond the limited personal educational licence granted herein requires my express written permission, which must be:

  • Requested in writing via email to ransford.amponsah@ransfordsnotes.com.
  • Clearly specify the exact materials you wish to use.
  • Describe the specific purpose, scope, duration, and manner of intended use.
  • Granted in writing by me before any such use commences.

Any permission granted is:

  • Limited strictly to the specific use, scope, and duration expressly authorised.
  • Non-transferable and may not be assigned to any third party.
  • Revocable at my sole discretion with reasonable notice.

If your circumstances change from your original request, or if you wish to use the materials for any purpose beyond the originally authorised scope, you must:

  • Immediately notify me in writing of the changed circumstances.
  • Obtain new written permission before proceeding with any modified use.
  • Failure to obtain updated permission constitutes a material breach of these terms.

5. Course Access and Free Model

5.1 Free Access

All course materials, assessments, and pass records are provided free of charge. There are no mandatory fees required to access any content.

5.2 Donation Model

This platform operates on a voluntary donation model. Donations are entirely optional and do not affect your access to any course materials or features. Your donation, if made, is a voluntary gift to support free education and is not a purchase of goods or services.

5.3 Account Requirements

While course content can be accessed without an account, an account is required to track your progress and retain pass records. If you complete a course without signing in, you will need to sign in and complete it again to retain a pass record in your account.

6. Assessment Policy

6.1 Unlimited Retries

You may attempt assessments as many times as you need at no cost. There are no limits on the number of attempts or resits.

  • No Fees: All assessment attempts are completely free.
  • Unlimited Attempts: You may retry assessments as many times as needed to pass.
  • Question Randomisation: Assessment questions may be randomised from a larger question pool to maintain assessment integrity.

6.2 Assessment Conditions

Each assessment attempt is subject to all terms and conditions set forth in this agreement. The assessment content may differ between attempts to maintain examination integrity.

7. Enforcement and Legal Action

7.1 Consequences of Violation

Any violation of these terms constitutes a material breach of this agreement and an infringement of intellectual property rights. Upon discovery of any violation, I reserve the right to:

  • Immediately terminate your access to all Course Materials without refund.
  • Revoke any certifications or credentials issued to you.
  • Pursue legal action to the fullest extent permitted by law, including but not limited to seeking injunctive relief, damages, and recovery of legal costs.
  • Report violations to relevant professional bodies, employers, or regulatory authorities where appropriate.

7.2 Damages

You acknowledge that unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or disclosure of Course Materials, particularly assessment content, causes significant and irreparable harm. You agree that I am entitled to seek:

  • Statutory damages for copyright infringement.
  • Actual damages, including lost revenue and diminished value of Course Materials.
  • Disgorgement of any profits obtained through violation of these terms.
  • Recovery of all legal fees and costs incurred in enforcement.

7.3 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Acknowledgement

By purchasing, accessing, or using any Course Materials, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms of Use in their entirety.
  • You accept and agree to be legally bound by all terms and conditions set forth herein.
  • You understand the serious legal consequences of violating these terms.
  • You will use the Course Materials solely for your personal educational purposes.
  • You will not engage in any prohibited activities as described above.
